HELP setting up addon domain

I've set up the sub directory and verified it work. I am trying to set up the addon domain to point to that directory but receive the following error.

Bind reloading on sh122 using rndc zone: [norwood1.net] The subdomain, cpadental.norwood1.net has been added.

Error from park wrapper: cpadental.com is already configured.

Removed Entry from httpd.conf The subdomain, cpadental.norwood1.net has been removed.

cpadental.com could not be setup. The subdomain cpadental/public_html/cpadental.norwood1.net was not setup either.

Suggestions for a newbie are appreciated.

what is your domain, and what is your subdomain?

main domain is norwood1.net

subdomain I set up 'WAS' cpadental.norwood1.net. It's currently been removed while I was trying to figure out the reason for my error.

Is cpadental.com parked?

Error from park wrapper: cpadental.com is already configured.

Perhaps you need to unpark it.

No, currently have no parked domains

and you just click on 'add-on domain' in cPanel.

Then enter you domain name, path, and password then click 'add domain' and it fails?

If that is the case, I would open a support ticket with http://desk.surpasshosting.com

Maybe I'm not seting up the addon correctly.

New Domain Name: cpadental.com
Username/directory/subdomain Name: ???????????
Password: ??????????

Can someone give me an example of what should go in the field Username/directory/subdomain Name: field.

when you fill in the addon domain, it will typically make the domain name, minus the .com, as the directory. Password is what ever you want it to be.

Had you changed the nameservers for your add-on domain first? You have to do that before adding it, as an add-on.
