Question 123-reg dns switchover

Please Help!!!

Im very much a novice and seem to have myself a situation. I bought a domain name from 123-reg and im using surpass as my host. I have tried to switch my domain name server?? to surpass and now I am completely lost.

My domain name is a co.uk and I was aware that I had to type in surpass' code into my 123-reg cpanel in order for surpass to host my domain.

its been 2 days now and still im with 123-reg. I have since went back to my 123-reg cpanel under change dns setting and it has a huge warning about if you dont know what your doing get someone who does sort of thing an now im worried im completely lost, messed everything up and will never get online.

Please help me as you can guess that I havnt the foggiest what im doing???

Thanx

That is because you are in a different menue.

Changing DNS Settings means that you will have to provide all the IP addresses ect.

You want to change the nameservers to the surpass server you will need to take the entry below change DNS settings -> Change Nameservers.

That is unless I missunderstood your intentions. P.S. It is always good to give a full domainname and server name so that other people can check with the various programs and debug the problem from there.

the order has been changed since the image was taken, but it is still called nameservers.

Since I am not an employee of surpass I would fell a little uncomfortable to take your log in details. I recommend you get someone internet savy to look over your shoulder while you go through the menues after showing him the images I linked to earlier. Will do the trick. I know the feeling of looking at something and not finding it knowing it is there. Someone fresh comes along and - bingo!

P.S. I did check your domain name and the nameservers still point to ns.123-reg.co.uk which is the standard 123reg nameserver
