LAMP setup for developing website
I am trying make a testing environment for website and make it mirror the server the site is on with Surpass. I am doing the LAMP setup in VMWare so I can test it wihtout internet access. I would like to make it as close to the actualy server it will be running on here at Surpass.
My question is, which packages should I get the exact same version of as the Surpass server and which ones will not make a difference? Right now I have CentOS 5 installed (I believe Surpass uses 4.4 or 4.5.. not looking for the exact version for Surpass security sake, unless it would matter for the website). The versions of the packages on the server are: Apache version 1.3.37 (Unix) MySQL version 4.1.22-standard PHP version 4.4.7 I am stuck at trying to get httpd-1.3.37 installed.. can I use Yum and get an old version, or do I have to download it from Apache? Or would it not make a difference (what about MySQL or PHP? I know some of the LAMP seup needs to mirror the Surpass server because I tried testing some of the site on a different Surpass server and it wouldnt work on this one because the package versions were not the same.
