Hot Link protection and wmv problem

Hey guys, hope somebody can help me with this

I have a problem with the HotLink protection tool of the CPanel. It works fine with images such has .jpg, .bmp, etc. But when I had wmv to the list of protected extensions I can't even see the wmv embed on my own site. My domain is in the allowed refferrer list and I tried removing it to see if it was really working and it is, cause then I can't see my images no more...

So I'm thinking since the wmv is used in the embed tag maybe I have to had a pluggin address of some kind in the allowed referrer list ???
