ViPER Guestbook
Hello I have a ViPER Guestbook
all was cool I changed my password to something A little harder to hack I out it in then confirmed it again now when I log in it saying wrong password so I tried old one does anyone know is there a way to reset or fix this proberlm Angel Last edited by kathbran; November 28th, 2007 at 1:12 AM.. Why are you even using it? The author stopped supporting it and even said to stop using it. He even put up an uninstall script so users could completely remove it.

Hmm...at the moment I can't think of anything that won't give you tons of spam or can be easily hacked. Maybe you should go with a comment script? (although some do the same) If you do find a secure GB, be sure to either include a captcha. (I think that's what it's called?)

I ended up writing my own guestbook script (it was a php conversion of Matt Wright's Perl Guestbook that is like a billion years old). Since I've added my image verification, no spam, and I get around 100 or more comment spam attempts a day.
6,421 separate attempts from 1,737 distinct IP addresses since [04:14:32 09/11/2007 EDT]. Great googley moogley!! And this doesn't count the ones blocked in my .htaccess file.
