Question SMTP autorization...say what? Help please.

Oki, I think I got a question after all.
I have set an CMS script on my site
that also includes a forum and such,
though it wants me to set up e-mail
and I am kind of lost about the things
that are requeued...

SMTP host address (smtp.host.tld) -> smtp.myhost.tld
and
Does server require SMTP authorization -> ??

Can anyone give me a bit of an explain
about those settings and a sample of
what i might to have set them to?

Thanks a lot...

This should help:

https://desk.surpasshosting.com/inde...kbarticleid=10

"What are my SMTP & POP3 Mail Servers?
It will be mail.yourdomain.com for both pop3 and smtp.
*Replace yourdomain.com with your hosted domain url."

I would try the script out first without smtp authorization, if that doesn't work, then turn it on.
