[Answered] Reseller question
I am currently a bronze reseller and am thinking about upgrading possibly a few packages up. What i am wondering is besides increase in space am i going to see any difference in performance? Like if i get a gold package i think is 80gb/800gb of transfer speed is that going to put less people on my shared server? or do you just upgrade the hard drive in my current server and then i am effectivly making my server run worse by adding more sites to it... i know thats not really exactly how it works but in cheap easy to understand terms... will me upgrading effect performance across the board if you look at all the sites i host as a whole?

If you upgrade plans, nothing will happen except your limits will change. There is no change to the server you are on.
If you need better performance, then a VPS or dedicated is the way to go. |

so then why is the last reseller called OC10? curious because that indicates that it upgrades the speed of your connection or something along those lines...
also on a side not if any admins see this i can't get to surpasshosting.com at home but i can at work... wondering if my IP isn't banned or something ping on www.surpasshosting.com resolves to this 72.29.64.187 but then all requests time out

silentace, that is just the name of the plan because it sounded.. well, cool.
![]() That is interesting that you cannot see the site at home. Do you use any personal firewall there?

Remember when a few of us had similar problems when surmunity moved to it's current home? we could see surpass but not surmunity.
That was supposed to be a combination of outdated Bogon lists and solved by removing IP restrictions as needed.
