[Answered] Switching site from other host -- what about email?

I am switching a website that was hosted elsewhere to be hosted as an add-on domain to my Surpass hosting space. This website already has emails coming to it, and I'm wondering how quickly emails will switch over, and what happens to the emails sent while the site dns switch propagates. Any insight?

From what I was, it should work out normally once the domain points to the server. I'm assuming until this happens, they will still be arriving at the current place they are set up. Hopefully this helps and is correct, if anything, you can submit a ticket to the help desk, or wait for a response here. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you. =)

If you use this website

MX Lookup Utility

It will show you which mail server is getting your mail. Typically, it can take up to 48 hrs for MX records to propogate, so I would recommend leaving both old and new mail accounts active until all of your mail consistently gets to your new host.
