Still confused noob - new question

Soooooo -
i uploaded my site to the "public_html". However, when i type in my url in a browser, i get the page" INDEX OF/
parent directory - cgi-bin.
The domain that I want to use, "www.stayboystereo.com", is an addon domain. How do i get a browser to point to my index.html (and the rest of my site),in the public_html folder, when it's in a completely different folder/directory?

In other words, i'm looking at "ftp.bowwowstereo.com". I see both the root folder (bowwowst), and the "public_html" folder.

thanks. very confused...

You either figured it out or staff helped you, don't know.

When I go to www.stayboystereo.com it gets redirected to Welcome to stayboystereo.com

Well, abit confused myself.

I'm just a bit confused myself, I think what you are trying to do is point both stayboystereo.com and bowwowstereo.com to one single directory correct? If so, then you will have to add stayboystereo.com not as add-on domain but a parked domain, so that it points to your MAIN index file.

If this is not what you are trying to do, then yes I'm confused. 0_0

Thank you both for the reply.
i opened up a ticket, & someone got back to me about this. I't's long story, but everything was solved by uploading the site to my /home/bowwowst/bowwowst/
(that's truncated bowwowstereo), and not the public_html folder. Everywhere i read here and the instructions with Fetch, said that's what i should do. Basically, www.stayboystereo.com was pointing to a folder which had my directory in it.

It's been very confusing, as i bought and setup a domain, then had legal issues where i couldn't use the name that i wanted (bowwowstereo.com). Then to use the new domain that i bought, i created an addon, so....you know....i'm just stepping into the deep end here with hosting and everything that's involved.
I do thank you so much for your replies. You know when you're in the heat of the moment, you're lost, you want answers...one tends to get cranky.
I'm going to try not to do that and be a responsible member of the community.
