our server

This is a dumb question, and maybe I will not get an answer.
But I will never know unless I ask.
not having NT servers is surpass set up for ASP pages?
I don't know how to find out other than asking here.

Thanks for your time.

Quick Answer: No.

Longer Answer: Setting up ASP to work on Linux server's takes more work then ASP is really worth. It's also buggy. I suggest you look into PHP.

There are no dumb questions here. Ask whatever.

Surpass doesn't support IIS or Active Server Pages. There is a way to do this yes, but it's very kludgy and expensive.

Surpass Hosting strives to bring you the highest quality and performance for your dollar. ASP/IIS liscensing schemas run counter to that goal.

I might have known that there was a catch to using ASP.
I have this web building program that was baught as a gift and it
supports asp but it suggest that you use their hosting.
Now I understand why. $$$$$
Thanks for your reply and help.
I guess I will stick with what I know. Which isn't much.

Theres all kinds of resources out there to learn PHP

http://www.phpfreaks.com/
http://www.php.net

You can also post questions in the PHP/mySQL section of the forum.

If you know ASP, PHP will be no problem. Just a thought.
