some presale questions (open questions to follow)

i currently maintain one site with surpasshosting.

I have a multi domain account expiring at the first of may on another server.
it seems that i will be moving ~w

so i am going to go either with a reseller or a dedicated server hosting plan. i do think at this present time it will be a reseller until it "builds"

so im looking at the "silver plan" as opposed to the WHM plan and what am i missing that i see the silver plan coming in with whm enabled and more webspace cheaper than the Supra whm plan? perhaps there is an option that i am missing.. besides the obvious.

Also ... when looking at the one time fee of whm enabled of 140 does that cover over the years as long as my account is in good standing or a slight discount for purchasing a one year block?

thanks in advance

side question. I can appreciate tech support wishing our site and info for things for tech assistance and contests and such but i find a dilemma in this.
Some sites are for ages 18 + but we are promoting indirectly sites to all ages when we do this in this forum. i was wondering if there was a mod for vbulletin here not unlike hiding email that admins have access to but not to general public.
more of a suggestion than anything.

thanks again

You are looking at two different plans really. The Supra plan includes WHM Autopilot (the automated account signup, creation, and billing component). That is why the fee is higher for it. The regular reseller accounts don't include it.

As for the $140 fee, that covers your domain name for as long as you have your account with us.

hmmmm just to cross the Ts and dot the is here... isnt there the option to have reseller plans with whm enabled? im looking at the 140 dollar one time fee and with using it on a silver plan makes it more economical than the actual Supra WHM plan? is there a difference between a silver plan whm enabled and a supra plan besides the increase in space and bandwidth available?

you've raised a serious question, i'll give you a serious answer.

we ask users to identify their server name and URL in their signature for several reasons.
1)promotes community - other posters can see what kind of sites people have made
2)makes it easy for any admins to do a spot check on the site if the poster indicates there are access issues - this saves them time. there are nearly 10,000 customers and hundreds of servers. asking them where they are takes time, putting it in the signature already answers the first question we always have.

now to the last part about the 18+
something like less than 1 percent of all sites surpass hosts adult material. among that 1 percent I know of only 2 who put their site name in their signature. that's 2 out of nearly 10,000. i could be wrong - and i see your point that it might be possible to think we are by this policy unwittingly promoting adult material, but as for me, I do not believe that's the case.

in the end it does a lot more good than harm by having the signatures.
