New User Questions

Hi,
i would like to sign up for an account (Standard) and have a few questions.
1. how long do i have before i have to transfer my domain. one host had a condition that i must transfer within 14 days or my account will be cancelled. do you have any such rules? my current hosting account with another company is for another month
2. i have a huge amount of data/database that i have to transfer.. close to 900MB. i will have to transfer this via ftp. will i have any support geting the database to connect, etc.. even if i have to pay for it..
3. i have problems running cron jobs with my current host. its probably the way i set it up, but with cpanel.. things are pretty straight forward. thing is.. the cron job fails about 15% of the time. is this normal?
4. Do you have any policies regarding the type of files we can store? im not going to put any kind of porn/adult material. i have a lot of real media.. (explains the 900MB)

you guys have the best plan ive ever seen. i saw this site on findmyhosting.com...

anyways.. thanks in advance for the answers

Thanks for the reply. is the account activation instant? Just asking.. I read a post from another member who said his account was not activated even after paying.

Looks like unleashed cut the cake first, but I've got a slice.
(You have a cool name coolasheka, so I thought I would speak in a cool tone so you would like me.)

1. You can have an account with us at anytime, and not attach a domain to it for as long as you want.

2. Does the other host have cPanel? We can attempt to transfer it if they do, although it would be very helpful if you would download as much as you could. That way the chances of the transfer completing without any errors would be higher.

3. I can't say that is normal. I am sure our support can get your cron jobs working perfectly, I'm not an expert about those but I am aware that they're pretty simple.

4. Hmm, are they songs that you aren't singing? :reddance:

Thanks for the comment (we hear that one all the time) :-D

And thank you for your overall interest in Surpass.

Yes, that other post was about an error received when getting a domain name. They just seen an error in their domain control panel, but the domain registration did go through when that happens so nothing is wrong, which reminds me I need to tell them that now. :titanic:

you accept payments in monthly installments also? and your money back guarantee? 90 days? is this for real? most hosts crib about a 14 day money back policy..
