qwertykb I'm not sure why you think we are overloading servers.

Did another hosting company have a promotion and do that? :arc:

Pass8 probably will have a fancy processor in a few months.

A Xeon tends to knock out a lot of issues that shared and reseller servers can have.

During the past year, PHP and MySQL usage has rocketed, and that eats a lot of of CPU power.

Sites are only growing, so servers are only getting more powerful. Can't skimp on the power these days.

i must admit, the ease of installing things with scripta makes using php and mysql a little less daunting, so that could be one reason its use has increased. i find myself installing something just to try it out.

although, there are some sites out there that allow you to run a demo, so i usually look for that first. :stereo:

... and the good news is if I don't already have it on Pass8 then I guess I won't miss it on the free account...

Could the lack of this "super processor" be the reason that the site I am building with Mambo loads so slow? It's like 40 seconds of white before anything happens. Of course I am on dialup, but it sure is slow....

I think I want this fancy processor.
