links in folders?
is there a way i can link from one directory to another for use when i am connected via ftp? for example, lets say i have two directories:
1) public_html/vacations/2003/france/paris/images/ 2) public_html/vacations/2002/spain/madrid/images/ i would like to move from one directory to another with a single click, instead of moving up and down the directory tree or typing out the entire tree. is there something i can put in one directory that will link to another? maybe something like the www link in your home directory. thanks in advance. |

you'd need a symlink, and there's no way to make those in ftp. some ftp clients offer bookmarks so you can click an icon and it will cd you into that directory. mine (flashFXP, for windows) does this.
hope this helps you out. |
