Let me make this as simple and clear as I can. 1 - you can register that domain anywhere. I can register it for you, or you can register with surpass. With surpass, things go a bit quicker because you're doing everything at the same place. Godaddy is another favorite. If this is your first time, and you're not needing to save a couple of $, just register with surpass. Makes your life easier. If you want to save a few bucks, email me, or check out other domain registrars. 2 - once you have the domain, and you have bought your hosting from surpass, you'll get a hosting welcome email. That email will tell you how to set your domain name servers (also called DNS or NameServer) values. Once those are set at your registrar (done automatically at surpass (or me)), it takes 24 to 72 hours typically before your site resolves by name. 3 - in the mean time, the hosting welcome email tells you how to access your account by IP address and user name. Hopefully that clears things up a little. John

i have created an INDEX.HTM file (just a test page simply to display a message). But not sure how to upload to test my new site.
At my FTP Manager > FTP Account in CPanel, it shows 4 Main Account (one just the name and others with xxx pandanboyz.com) i suppose this is the login name, right? i did not creat it, it's already there. what would be the password since i did not set any password for the login name. And below, there are 5 ftp sites that start with FTP://ftp.pandanboyz.com/xxxxxxx.com, i suppose this is the ftp upload directory, but when i type this addresses on my "windows explorer" nothings show-up, it says "time-out". where did i do wrong. Bytheway, i manage to upload my INDEX.HTM to www folder using CPanel "File Management", now is there any way i can preview it before i own a domain name. if yes what should i type in mozilla browser? p/s: please bear with me, i am totally biginner at web hosting. and hardly got clues about the Cpanel stuffs. I have tested web-hosting at my ISP, but that's as simple as, click and drag files to my ISP provided folder in my "windows explorer" |

iggy -
if you use the CPANEL USER ID and PASSWORD that was sent to you in your email, you'll see a directory structure that contains "PUBLIC_HTML". Navigate into PUBLIC_HTML to place your index.html file. I recommend FILEZILLA. It's a great, free FTP program. John
