Unhappy FTP Issue. . .

I have been with surpass for a little under 3 weeks, and I have been ftp'in' just fine up until last night. . .

I load up Transmit (I am on a mac ), and I go to my bookmark for my site.

Whenever I attempt to log in, it says:

Could not determine current path
Server said:
? (Error -124)

I tried a search in the forums and can't find an answer.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks. Best, Hal!

P.S. Try a PC is not a good suggestion. . .

are you bookmarked by IP or by name?

If you're by IP, try the name.

Also, open a support ticket.

What MAC os are you on? can you do a command line FTP?

John

Mobius, I am not aware what server I am on unfortunately. . . How would I find out?

BigJohn, I am using 10.3.5 (Panther), and I am using the domain name rather than the IP.

Thanks for the help so far guys. . .

Hal (and hello fellow Mac user)

Look in your welcome email for the IP address.

You can then look here, for the end numbers, and see the name of the server you are on.

[Important] How to receive announcements

But besides finding that out, insert that IP address as the hostname in your FTP program. The IP address works great in place of ftp.domain.com in most cases, on most any OS.
