contact email account
with all the downtime recently, i would like to change my contact information to a gmail account. there used to be a link on the front page of surpasshosting.com to a sort of account manager, but i can't find it now that the site has been redesigned. can someone tell me where to find it? or can i do it in cpanel somewhere? thanks.

We never have used the email in cPanel for anything.
Only need to fill it out to get system notices about your bandwidth usage. The email we use is in the client area. http://my.surpasshosting.com (http://www.surpasshosting.com/order/clogin.php) |

i don't remember seeing the account management area when i first signed up, either.
kayla, is the 'client area' you menion accessed at the url that isfahan listed above? http://www.surpasshosting.com/order/clogin.php ? when i logged in there, one of my domains was missing. do i need to manually enter each one? having similar logins for each cpanel, logins at surpassdomains, and logins at surpasshosting, logins at whm, is getting confusing. |

This explains what we needed upon sign up.
Part 1: Setting up your hosting account Basically, all you need to do is keep your email address updated in the Client Area, so that we are able to contact you successfully. Within the cPanel, the email address there is used only by the system to send bandwidth notices or other messages. As for SurpassDomains, if you ever need anything regarding an account there, the email address for support is domains[at]surpasshosting.com If you don't see one of your accounts in your Client Area, that might mean that when you signed up for a second account, you didn't log in. You just might have chose another Client Area name and pass, and because of that the accounts aren't together. |

We started using a different ordering system in July 2003.
We were going to add everyone from the old system into it, but it wasn't working out too easily. If we need to contact anyone at anytime whether they are in the new system or not, we do a number of things such as view the Whois info for an email, look up old support tickets, etc. We find a way. But it is much easier if the email is updated. Usually the older clients are settled in and we never really have to contact them for much, so far it works out fine. New system has been in place for a year now. |
