I am really not sure where to turn with this and thought that someone here might be able to help me as multiple emails and tickets have gone unanswered in support...
My question has a couple of parts: I have let my current domain name registration lapse and as a result no longer have that name registered. Now... Can I register a new one and point it to the same address as old one? Will the subidrectories that I have put in be affected? Is there an easy way to do this or simply put, how best do I register a new name and use the same account on surpass? Thanks very much, Gummy |

If you want to switch your domains, there is a one time fee. It shouldnt affect your subdirectories.

I guess what I actually meant was subdomains not subdirs...
lets say i have www.anysite.com and created photos.anysite.com... if I now change the domain to www.anysite2.com will the subdomain switch automatically? If not is there any way for me to recover the work I did in it and reuse it for the new domain? Thanks again, Gummy |

You'll have to make sure that support clears out the old ones so you can make new ones. There was (is?) a bug in Cpanel that won't let you create a subdomain on a directory that you just deleted a subdomain from...

Just a note, you won't lose all your work in that subdomain... just the actual link itself. If you changed your main domain on your account to www.anysite2.com, all the stuff that was in the subdomain should still be accessible in http://www.anysite2.com/subdomain as opposed to http://subdomain.anysite2.com, which as John said, you'll have to clear out the old ones, then make new ones.
