Upload limits?

Hiya!

I'm working with a new ecommerce script, cpCommerce, and one of the things it features is downloadable content. As part of the script, you upload your MP3s, zip files, etc. that you're going to sell. The upload is done through the script, not through ftp.

I'm having trouble utilizing this with some rather large files (20 -60 MB.) I've had no problem uploading them to my original site via ftp... is it the script, or a limit put in place by surpass, that's causing my difficulty now?

Obviously you can't answer the question about the script, but I'm trying to rule out Surpass so I can concentrate on finding an answer in the cpCommerce camp.

Thanks very much!

Matt

Your browser (or the script) could very well be timing out. Uploading something that large would take quite some time. Your browser or script may be giving up, thinking nothing has happened for quite some time.

That is my best guess.

If you are doing this via HTTP, there is a limit. Search for phpinfo file limits.

I am not sure on which server you are but usualy the limit is set to 2mb for uploads by scripts. It can be higher if someone on the server request it, like on Pipe, the limit is 6mb. I don't think there are some shared servers with a limit of 60mb.

Best thing you could do is to send a ticket to surpass and request it.

Ohh I didn't know Pipe had a custom limit, I was wondering why it was 6mb.
