Exclamation [Help] Upgrade to OC10

RE:Ticket ID: EYM-15527

I am upgrading a Standard shared account to the OC10 with a different domain for the main (free) site.

There may be some confusion given some of the emails I have received and as I am trying since yesterday to upgrade my account. It would be a great assistance if I can get this completed by the close of business today.

I completed the web based upgraded form and followed the received instructions. I have signed up for the OC10 and I am awaiting the transfer.

Any assistance here would be appreciated.

Thanks.

No response from anyone and we now head into day three to make an upgrade.

Sales needed the passwords for the old and new account. I set up temporary passwords for both. The problem is, I had to send that logon information in clear text. It is an unacceptable risk to leave both accounts exposed for this amount of time and who knows how long this is going to take as we head into day three.

However good support is becomes irrelevant as a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. If one department blows it, all suffer.

I recently did a similar transfer, and I assure that while it takes time, it will be done competently, and with no problem in security. Your alternate choice was to backup and upload everything by hand. Surpass is doing you and all their clients a favour by offering this service.

For my transfer, from start, to finish (including my refund which had a delay due to Paypal) was 10 days. It was about 3 days from when I put in for the upgrade though, until all my information was moved.

Your move should be completed soon. If you do not hear anything be tomorrow afternoon, you can reply to your ticket to make sure it remains active... but otherwise patience is really appreciated.

Best of luck though with a smooth transfer.

I would prefer it to be quicker than that, but if that's the way it is, so be it. I can wait. What I will not do is allow passwords sent in clear text to remain for more than a couple of hours much less several days. Not you or anyone else can responsibly assure that is not a security issue. I have changed those passwords back and consistent with my request in the upgrade ticket that Surpass either notifies me just prior to needing the passwords, or better yet just change them themselves and send me the new temp passwords.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
