What do we do to ensure the best for your site?

Everyone on shift receives emails if a server goes above a certain load. This is great in pinpointing issues with certain accounts on the servers.

For example,

So if you wonder how we catch those load spikes so quickly, well this is how.

Rarely does a server hit a load of 997 but this is a good example as to why we have them, to catch abuse in the act or a script gone wild.

The main purpose is identifying issues before they cause a major problem. Most servers go up to a load of about 6 to 10, and because of that first alert we get enough time to isolate the problem before it goes any higher. These emails come in every 5 minutes. With the image above, something was so intensive that the load shot up to almost 1000 within a 5 minute period before we heard even a peep in our inboxes.

If you experience any issue with your site whether it's the web, FTP or email, please post it in Shared or Reseller discussion just in case our systems aren't catching the activity- it can happen.
