Hacking?

How can I protect my site and databases from hacking? I've head of "Burying" the databases, but I don't know how to do it. Any ideas?

Hard to guess passwords, keeping permissions right (if it has vital information in the script page, keep it at 444), and keeping your scripts updated.

If they're scripts you've coded yourself, ensure that you've gone over some documentation on preventing SQL injection. I haven't heard the term 'burying' for databases though.

First time I was asked for a password I couldn't come up with one. I was staring off into space trying to think of one and then I looked at my moniter. Picked it and added my name to the end of it plus the year I was born.

Which reminds me, I should change it someday. It's been 7 years with the same password.
