Moving Files or Domain first?

Thank you for this board and helping me save me from myself. <g> It's a chicken or egg question.

Can you help me with the order of how I should do things? So far, I have gotten three e-mails about my Surpass account. One from 2CO.com confirming payment. Another from AutoPilot about my domain (which is still with another host) reading "On {{order_date}}, a new client {{active_server_name}}"
A third confirming my regiistration with Surpassdomains.com.

Shouldn't I expect another e-mail with further instructions about FTP setup and accessing CPannel? I'm thinking that not everything has been set up although I did log in and found my DNS and IP numbers already posted.

I would like my entire site moved to Surpass by Surpass using CPannel. I understand they can move the whole site which is great. Do I make a ticket asking for this to happen first before I move the domain name? I would think so because I don't want any down time on the site.

Trying to wrap my head around what's considered normal protocol here.

Thanks!

Oh! I see the problem. I'm an idiot. At least that brings new Avitar possibilities. <g>

I see that my Welcome E-mail has not arrived. It will carry lots of information about these things. So, now I'm waiting for the Fed-Ex truck...and my welcome e-mail.

More to come.

In 24 hours I've signed up and tech support has already moved my web site exactly the way it was on the old host. Incredible. I can't say enough great things about this place. The Support people and Forum Folk are fantastic. So far, so good. And to think. If not for a chance visit to DSLReports I never would have found this place.
