spam from my own account

I have been receiving spam from my own domain name (harphands.com). I don't understand what is going on? I have only created one email address. Now I am receiving:

infoharphands.com
administratorharphands.com
mailharphands.com

It is telling me that it is closing my email down, etc...

The domain and hosting were purchased through surpass... Any advice how to stop it?

Thank you.

Well, with a little PHP anyone can send an email as anyone. I use it to send do-not-reply emails but it can send emails from anywhere, you may have just someone annoying you. In the headers it should have more info on what sent it.

Yes, it is quite easy to send email from anywhere with php. I could be Bill Gates according to email. but please do post the full headers so we can see where it came from... Should be something like view headers or something, depends on the mail program you are using...........

Virus for sure. I saw the same thing. My MX doesn't point at Surpass (my website is here though) so it was strange that it routed via Surpass. http://www.surmunity.com/showthread....001#post121001

You've been hacked just like me. Fooled into opening a zip? You've installed a trojan that is downloading all your hard drive info to the perpetrator. Your virus scanner will not see it because it is custom made to target only Surpass email accounts and not a part of general virus attacks. Demand that Surpass supply you with a utility to remove the virus that has been installed on your computer and for godsake, unplug your computer from the internet until you're clean.

Excuse me, but how is recieving spam from their own account making them hacked? Their most likely spoofed and coming from an external server, outside of Surpass.

Is this for real or some type of stunt to try to damage Surpass's reputation?
