FTP 550 error: can't delete files

Recently I installed phpbb2 via Fantastico. A short while after, I sent a ticket in to change my username in cpanel, and it has changed since then. Due to the change, it seems that the phpbb2 setup had become corrupt somehow so I opted to remove it via Fantastico cpanel.

On my FTP server it seems that the phpbb2 files are still there, so I've been going through and deleting it manually, but there are a few files that are troublesome and give me the 550 error even if I chmod it to full read/write access.

Any ideas?

Your best bet would be to send a ticket to support and ask them to delete the offending files for you.

Failure is not an option. It comes standard with all Microsoft products.

Depending on the ftp that you use, you might want to refresh it. I know there's some ftp's that I used in the past that when a file was deleted, it would remain there till I refreshed the window/folder. You could also try to go into the Cpanel/File Manager and see if you can delete it from there.
