Site Down?
Hello. I (though not the owner, but an administrator) run http://valiancyhall.com
Recently, two other large sites have been continuously getting hacked by people known as "Goons." These G00ns both bruteforced passwords and DDoS attacked these other sites. They did this many times while the other sites were okay. I see my site is down right now. I cannot access FTP or Cpanel. So I am wondering if this is a server down or if my site is being hacked. What server is it that your site is one? An also, can you access the site using the http://ip-address/~username method? Sorry if I can't help much, but I guess it is better than nothing. You also might want to open a ticket with support. Make sure to use a non-hosted email (such as Gmail or Hotmail) or manually submit the ticket at the help desk: http://desk.surpasshosting.com

At the moment I'm having that same problem, my site, http://www.kawari.net , just went down. It was fine around 1:52 am (PST), but now it's been down for about half an hour. I'm not sure what it is, and I checked to make sure all the payments were turned in etc, all I know is that my site is down.

I see both of your sites. Shik, yours is nice and I love the music but you may want to add a way to shut it off. What is it that is playing?
Also, both of you should put your server and site address in your sig. Helps us speed things up sometimes.

I can't ever remember what server my sites are on, but 3 out of 4 of mine are down, and another friend's site is down as well... I figured there must have been a massive server problem...

My sites have been down since at least 7am - it is now 2pm here. Who knows how long they were down before that. I emailed support twice, but their replies weren't very helpful; they just told me to check back later.
There don't seem to be any recent posts on the forums from surpass either; I figure they are hiding out until the servers are back up before they return to the forums. |

one member of one of my sites said it was up after 6am this morning. i checked myself about 7am and it was down. i think we can assume everything went down about 7am this morning. that's a long time.
