Sub domains? Domain registration? Help!

Okay, i didnt know if this was the right board to post it on, but i did x.x Anyway, i paid for my actual domain name yet, my hosting package has activated, yet not my domain name. Does anyone know how long this will take to become my domain? Its currently like an IP address with my username on the end.

And also, i added a subdomain, yet i cant find the address to it like the url. And i cant find the address i would put in the ftp address. So what i need to know, is what is the actual URL to the subdomain with this IP address url i have for my main address? And what would i put in the FTP address box?

Thankyou.
Dynamitee.

Whoops, I was supposed to answer this yesterday. My applogies.

When you recieved your welcome mail, did you update your DNS settings of your domain to the DNS servers provided? Once you do that, it can take anywhere from an hour to three days for your domain to work.

While you're waiting for your domain, you would use the Server IP as the FTP address. Once your domain works, you would use "ftp.yourdomain.tld". Your subdomain will begin working once it has propagated. The URL to the subdomain would be: ***.***.***.***/~username/subdomain/
Replace the stars with the server IP, "username" with your username and "subdomain" with whatever you called your subdomain.
