So any ideas about my situation?

Also realised I have no way of updating my old wordpress account automatically. Cos Fantastico doesn't show that i have an account. And Scripta is gone. Woe. *sighs*

ah, that thing. i think i know what you are talking about. i think that thing will be there forever. Even my friend has it on his system (he's my other host) and he seems to remove most everything that isn't necessary.

Still, this would be better answered by an admin. I believe it will be there forever, but I can't be certain.

well, i'd say this looks like a good time to learn the hard way

or

you can always do this:

backup the wordpress database and media folder (i think that's what it is called....the one that has your uploads?) and what ever else is custom done/uploaded by you

backup the database for it

install a new wordpress via fantastico

go back into phpmyadmin, dump the now newly made database (the fantastico made one), and import your old database

to do all of that though, you'll probably have to do it before wordpress gets updated. but, that's a long way around that i would probably do. you may not want the headaches that come with that.

So I should back up the database, install a new version via fantastico, and somehow make the old database the new databse?

Do I sound confused? Lol, I don't really know my way around phpmyadmin... I will have a look though I suppose.

Haha, there may be an easier way to do it. I wouldn't go jumping right into it right now.
