Apparently a new variant is out.. I read this: http://www.securityfocus.com/archive...3/2004-12-29/0 but I don't really understand the risk, or how to prevent it.

Anyone care to make this more clear?

I feel the same way.. I just don't understand how we can check to see if our scripts are safe. I'm hoping to release a new site soon and so far it's security is the strongest I've ever done... Preventing this would be that much better. Worst of all is the people that exploit these problems and cause havok like this. The internet would be a lot more user-friendly if we didn't have to analyze everything we do to ensure it won't bite us in the ass later. Hell, I wouldn't let my parents check their e-mail yesterday because it's known to be one of the worst days for virus infections.
