tried wap3 and wap3com and a couple things I have on file and at that point the graphic does not show up.

using //wap3.com/serverload.php shows with *error*

Could it be ChopChop on my site has no /proc/loadav folder/file?
At least I don't find it with FTP.
How are you logging in to FTP if you cannot remember your username?

It would make sense for it not to go up to 100.. then low percentages which cause slowness wouldn't really appear hardly at all. It looks about 30 pixels wide, so that's 3.3% into each pixel. Depending on if that's the measurement I typically look at, 6.6% would be a somewhat noticable performace decrease. Having it only show 2 pixels would be a bit odd.

I lowered my 'top' number to 8. If my load is over 8, I'm going to be screaming at support anyway!

So again I went into FTP and copied the UserName
when doing http://72.29.75.179/~MyFTPUserName
I get the following return as a 404 error:
The requested URL /~MyFTPUserNamewas not found on this server.

Any other ideas?

Like i posted previously, I have been through all iterations of the combinations and it is either *no icon* [fubar'ed] or *error*

Not to mention where in the heck is /proc/loadav on ChopChop and my account because it is not there.

Sorry for being a little testy, but AT&T trashed 9 T1 router configs, and we start the install of the new 911 equipment attaching to them tomorrow....been a long, trying day, arguing with the telco but that is what I get paid to do and when I left an hour ago *I are now a certumfied Crisco [same blue container of expensive #$%] techno-hacker.
And I spent the weekend rummaging that War & Peace novel of a 680 page RTFM plus the 80 something latest upgrade.
Crossing fingers and hoping for that all works about 7am.

http://72.29.75.179/~MyFTPUserName is not valid without a trailing /
then the filename.

http://72.29.75.179/~MyFTPUserName/serverload.php if that is what you named the file and put it in the public_html folder.

To see the proc folder:

proc is one folder down from server base / equal to the /home directory

loadva is a file, without an extention in the proc folder.

You cannot see /proc from your domain account as you cannot get beyond your username directory.

login is usually to root. cd to /proc and ls to see all files or cat loadav to view the contents of the loadav file using SSH terminal.

If you like the graphic interface better you can use FileZilla and login as root secure with SFTP using SSH2 on port 22, right click on the file and pick view/edit.

Hits the [thanks] button -- working

My BAD.......after one more time.....

my account has like [a-z]{3}112[a-z] and when reviewing FireFox history I had done [a-z]{3}122[a-z], and guess what went into my sig and other tests.

It's rough being an old, dyslexic programmer, does not matter after typing/writing something how many times or long I re-look at it -- IT'S RIGHT.

One question though, do you think that now in *view source code* on this or any other posted page showing my ServerIP/~UserName/ is kosher? [2/3 for a hack trifecta]

[just the paranoid parrot on my shoulder speaking in my ear]

Thanks again Cowboy.....

I was about to check ChopChop to see if there was another reason why it wasn't chopping the server load results. Glad it worked out!
