I've looked at EE but I think what deterred from was the hefty price for a paid version of it. I've also tried out Typepad (or whatever it was, I can't remember) and I didn't like the templates for editing your site. Though I do love Symphony CMS, was quite awesome.

Still a die hard wordpress user though.

Paid version doesn't look all that interesting. Looks like its mostly for support for some of their modules which many ppl don't use anyways.

I have not tried it yet but have been tempted. What was it that you did not like about it?

How would I get "/test/index.php/site/about/" to not have the .php extension like "/test/index/site/about/"

Dont really want to mess with urlRewrites and stuff. The urls with EE looks funky to me. I'll have to sign up on their forums ^_^

I do it with .htaccess.
Code:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond $1 !^(images|tech|mint|scripts|themes|dev|tippy\.js|favicon\.ico|robots\.txt|index\.php)
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php/$1 [L]
Then in the EE admin you remove index.php in all of the titles.
