Recently I've been having trouble accessing one of my frequently visited sites, which I referred here for hosting, that is on SH105; and it seems that yesterday and today there has been "downtime" from about 8:30AM EST to 3:00PM EST. Obviously that is annoying, and apparently the problem isn't local to either the server or myself.
If I navigate to hiddenrealms.net, the site I am referring to, it gets past the DNS lookup but it cannot reach the server. So I looked up the server IP and did a tracert from where I am ... and I got this: Code:
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600] (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp. Thanks Mark, the site is still incommunicado for me. Anyone else got this problem? If so, please post a tracert here.
To do a tracert, on Windows, do the run command and open the shell, IE Win_Key+R -> "cmd". In the shell type "tracert sh105.surpasshosting.com" and hit enter; if you get more than 4 timeouts in a row it's safe to say there's a problem. You can then right click on the console, click select all, and then hit enter to copy the results; then you can edit and paste it here. If you have linux, well, you probably know how to do a tracert already anyway. :P |

Surmunity itself is running very slow for me so I suspect a routing issue:

Hello,
Are any of you still experiencing any problems? As Dan noted, we had some network related issues that affected a small segment of the data center, which could've possibly affected this server as well (or at least contributing to poor latency, slow connectivity). As of right now, there's nothing going on with the machine itself, and everything seems to be operating top notch. If you still have problems connecting to the server, it would probably be best to submit a ticket, and ask that it is forwarded to the NOC. Thanks, |

Daniel,
My problem persists, so I'll have to login and submit a ticket. Hopefully we can figure out what is going on ... I'm on the staff of that site and kinda need to be present to pull my weight. Thanks for checking stuff out for me. |
