Help with closing my account

I have a really random issue.

The registration name I used doesn't work on the site anymore, so I can't login to my account. I'm trying to cancel my account, and can't find any sort of cancellations service or email to use instead of the actual website. If anyone could give me an email for service please let me know.

Thanks

I found the cancellation page through the "Policies Page"... it should really be easier to find, especially considering it's required for account cancellation. Can't just stop paying.

I don't think I'll be needing the hosting anymore, I purchased for a site I thought I was going to create and never did.

I checked the link, and that's part of the issue I'm having. The email address I have doesn't work with the site, and I don't know what my domain is. With the form that's given, I have no idea how to be able to cancel.

Ok, go ahead and open up a ticket in the sales department (from any e-mail address you have access to) and let them know what's going on.. give them your first and last name and they can look up your account and let you know the domain and e-mail address for the account.

I agree with the poster. You folks MUST provide instructions on how to cancel right within the order form AND on the billing site. The link should be right there, easily accessible.

In my situation, I requested in my original order for web hosting that I be provided hosting for one billing period only and wrote in the original order that renewal was not to occur. I was using the web space just for a two-week class I was teaching

As of this date, I have paid for 10 weeks of web hosting (!!) and the site is still up. I sent an email to support questioning the renewal that occurred when I received notification of a billing renewal. In that email -- five days before renewal charge was processed -- I once again requested that hosting be cancelled. I never rec'd an email reply. Today, when I receive notice that my card has been charged, I figure "oh heck..grrr..but as long as the site is down... I'll let it go." No way. Site still up. And then I discover in a box inside my billing site (that I just happened to go visit when I saw the site was still online) a reply from support telling me to go to x url to cancel...and would I please reconsider. <ouch>

I was spitting bullets.

Something I thought would cost $6 has turned into $15 and about $80 in service hour labor time.

Anyway, post the cancel link in the order form and right within the billing site, please.

The cancel link is posted right on the support page....

And I'm not sure that you can just email support, I think a ticket has to be submitted first in the help desk (the official form of support) before you can reply to those emails.

When in doubt, submit a ticket.

Why would you submit a support ticket to an e-mail address you never check? Why is that by any means our fault that you did not check back for a response?
