The actual issue is this is a production standing. Screw ups are what hosts are trying to avoid...

Really, lets say they did and then there was an issue. By removing the feature, you can cause your clients business loss (as, what will they do with the clients already having accounts with that access?) and commit a "false advertising" violation. It isn't worth it and isn't needed. I mean, sure, if the feature wasn't available at all... but VPS and Dedicated will give what you need.

Also, it is best for a person needing of providing resell services to be on such environments. Offering reselling accounts can be more work than shared (in certain circumstances) and if the client cannot afford the extra costs of VPS or Dedicated, then they possibly shouldn't be thinking about reselling.

Just my 2 cents.
