Lightbulb ...add WHMReseller Support

WHM reseller allows resellers to create sub-resellers. Surpass have nothing to loose and all to gain with this great feature! Go on Surpass, you know you want to

I think it's a good idea we dont allow this. This would just add even more accounts to reseller servers.

If you want to sell reseller services you gotta go VPS or dedicated

this feature is available when you have your own server..

the reason, as I was told, is that it allows for more potential of resource abuse, and creates more problems for support, and level 3 techs.

if a sub reseller's resold account happens to be abusing the server... by the book its your responsibility to have the sub reseller deal with it, because if you don't and the server admin has to suspend the account the fit his the shan, and it rolls up hill to your main reseller account.

meaning your account can and will be suspended, as it is your responsibility and ownership of that account.. but if your lucky surpass admins will just suspend that account... but who knows... they keep track of who abuses this that and everything... somewhere its logged..

Of course we want to, we want to do everything! But is everything a good idea? Not always...

I was at Steak and Shake the other night and decided to try their "Chili 5-Way" and whoa. It was this crazy concoction of spaghetti covered in tomato sauce, chili, tons of melted cheese AND chopped onions. Needless to say.. I got a bit sick.

I think if the spaghetti only had tomato sauce on it, like a good, safe pasta dish - I would have felt fine. But instead I was sitting at the computer again feeling a little woozy doozy.

So basically - giving everything is fun at the time, but later after things settle in, there can be a lot of problems.

The interesting thing is, I feel there are more abuse issues on our shared servers than resellers. This is because many shared account holders tend to bounce from host to host (since they only have one account it's easy) and this happens because they keep using too many server resources and cannot get a server of their own.. and it's an endless cycle leaving a lot of hosts trashed on review sites in the process. On the other hand resellers seem to be more responsible with account management. BUT add in the ability to give your clients the ability to add MORE clients.. and it's kind of like making the reseller server into a "shared" (with the possibility of more of the "bounce" accounts) and we can't risk that.

I guess so, but I suppose you could add it, but maybe as a test or something. If it was abused, just remove it straight away and save all the hassle, although maybe thats too much hassle actually :S

Ah vps it'll have to be...
