I first signed up for Surpass Hosting back in 2006, after some slow delays in receiving info about my account I was going to cancel, but then decided to give it another shot after I got that shorted out.
I have had access to my account, my website/domain, my FTP up until today...I have had the $6 per month plan since I joined. Today, I accessed my site and everything loaded fine (I run a website with wordpress installed). A few minutes later, I go to back to my site to be greeted with a this account has been suspended message and to contact billing. I send in a support ticket asking them why my account says it has been canceled and I am told it has been canceled since November of 2006 and that the account has already been deleted off the server. I don't understand this especially when I have had access to my account prior to today and have been able to upload files, and run a website perfectly fine. Not only, was I not informed prior to this that my account had been suspended I now have a feeling that I have lost all my databases including wordpress pages and entries because I did not have a chance to back them up this week. If there is a way this can be resolved or someone contact me, I would greatly appreciate it, even if it is to at least get my dang files off the server! If needed the website I am talking about is http://these-words.org |

You should make sure to post this in your ticket. You may also want to post your ticket number here in case a staff member happens to see it.
Had your method of payment been charged each month since they say it was canceled?

I'm not sure if you'll be able to tell me or not, but after my account is 'reactiviated/unsuspended' will my files and databases and such still be there? Or have they been deleted? That is what I am most worried about. |

From reading the ticket it was removed but the backup is still there so as soon as the account is unsuspended the files will be restored to normal

Thank you for the help!
Oh one more question...how long does one have to pay for a suspended account? I didn't plan on this happening obviously so having to pay a greater amount than the monthly fee was unexpected, but I want to make sure I get it paid asap obviously so that my files are not lost. |

I'm not sure if I read the question right. If you want to know how long it takes for payment to go through and get this all taken care of I will try to make sure it is handled asap
