Help, I'm new!

Hello all,

First off I want to apologize if this is posted in the wrong section. I'm having some problems and given my zero experience with websites, I find myself confounded to the point of frustration. And I've seen that you guys can be really helpful here so I came for help.

First off, I have only been a Surpass customer for about 2 days now. This is also the first website I've owned. In the original email that Surpass sent to me confirming my account's creation, I was told that the domain name would become accessable in 4-48 hours. The domain is xel-naga.net. As of right now if I put the domain into my address bar, the 'Server not found' error comes up. It has been 52 hours since I received previously mentioned email.

Also in the email I was given a pretty-much-universal username and password to the cpanel and ftp programs. If you go to my site's IP address (66.7.201.3), it asks for a username and password... which is NOT the one I was given by Surpass (which I haven't changed yet, by the way). Something about the name/pass for Reportus Azucarera is mentioned at the log in screen. However if you go to http://66.7.201.3/~xelnaga you'll see the main directory thing (sorry my vocab isn't up to par) just fine without having to put in a password. If you leave the http:// out of that and just go to 66.7.201.3/~xelnaga it forwards to http://reportes.azucareraelpalmar.com/~xelnaga/ which is the exact same as my website... What exactly does azucarerawhatever have to do with my website and Surpass? Why can't I log into these supposed 'protected' areas of my website even with the name/pass Surpass gave me (although I have no trouble getting into Cpanel or FTP programs)? Am I missing some really simple element here?

I apologize if I seem ignorant or impatient, but in my ignorance I kinda assume the worst has happened somewhere along the way. I would feel immensely better if someone could clear some things up for me!

Well, first things first -- have you set up your nameservers where your domain is registered? Surpass's email to you should have detailed what to set your DNS to so it points to your new account here.

The IP and webaddress thing is what your account is set up as (it's where your website will be point to when it actually is pointing there). I don't know what the heck the password stuff is, that's new to me.

Thanks ceo. I wasn't aware that I needed to change my nameservers. All of my initial problems are now fixed, but I have one more simple question.

http://www.xel-naga.net/starter.html

How do I set it up so that page is displayed as the home page for xel-naga.net? Right now if you go to xel-naga.net you'll get a permissions error (but if I allowed it all you would see would be the starter.html and a couple files).

Change the "starter.html" page name to "index.html" and it'll load at the root.

Thanks again.

Another problem, though I don't know if I can even fix this one. >_> If you go to xel-naga.net now, it doesn't load. Neither does any of the subfolders or the cpanel. It's been like this for over 24 hours now. This is kinda weird because my friend had a site that was hosted by Surpass that I went to multiple times every day and I never saw that site down. o-o

Well, that's strange... =/

Can anybody else access the page?

What would cause me not being able to view it? Because I'm also clicking on ceo's links to otty.us and those aren't loading either.

-_-;

*patience*

You may want to submit a ticket to support and see if your IP is being blocked.

Site loaded fine, I see Project Zerantos with black background.
