Free SSL certificate???

Has anyone heard of these guys?? They claim to offer FREE SSL certificate! Any feedbacks on this? Is it safe to use??

SSL's are part encryption and part trust. The trust comes from a brand name certificate signed by a true Certificate Authority like Geotrust or Verisign. If no one has ever heard of the CA, then half the value of the cert is gone. Their browser penetration stats are pretty bad too. I would spend the money and get a real cert from a true CA if you really need one for your business

Yeah, considering I had a certificate warning pop-up when I visited their site, I'd completely disregard it as being worthwhile. As Mark says, go with a vendor that's well known and trusted. The last thing you want is someone questioning your security by having something not seem right... which is exactly what'll happen if you use their service.

Thank you for your replies, guys. I agree with you 100%.

This is not for me, a client asked about it, so I wanted to get some feedback for him. I'm a RapidSSL/Geotrust reseller myself and wouldn't go with something I don't know or don't trust.
