*cries* (Hehe!)

I actually got into it because I saw a friend on my blogroll switch to it and she'd mentioned that it was designed to be highly accessible and I'm all about proving THAT wrong.

Though, it is very accessible, there are a lot of flaws with it, and I don't think there are not many (if ANY) other blind people who are as active on the support forums or even poke around the code as extensively as I have. After about a year of it, I got bored and stopped and just went back to doing everything my own way. And then when I was making Guide-Dogs.org I thought I'd try it again (since as a publishing software it's pretty easy to use straight out of the box, so to speak). But I always feel stifled when I design sites for other people, so I started using it on my site again and made a whole new spiffy design and everything.

And this got kinda rambly.

Heh... my main website's appearance has pretty much the same for the last errr... uhmmm 15 years or so; although, the backend of it has changed a number of times.. used to all be HTML, then Perl scripts back-ends for it.. then I discovered PHP and dumped most of the Perl.. then I got into MySQL and PHP and now pages such as my MIDI page are pretty much all dynamically created using PHP and MySQL. If I upload a new MIDI, I don't have to touch the page.. it just inserts it where it needs to go.

I started using WordPress to store my "News" items which I had always had on my front-page. The Blog aspect is just an added plus... hence my rather dull WP theme which a barely tweaked version of the default theme. I use a PHP script to read my Blog's RSS feed to place it on my main website.

Yea, I'm like really close to scrapping WP, the only thing holding me back is I have no inspiration at the moment to design anything and I'm afraid that I won't find a trust worthy comment script to use on my blog. I wish I could write out PHP and have top-notch security. *pouts*

EDIT// YES! I have officially found the BEST blog script out there. It functions like Wordpress but not the whole CMS features. I love it! Better yet, its SECURE! Here's a link, just in case anyone is interested:

I can't wait to get rid of Wordpress once and for ALL!!!!
