Hmm. Well then I guess I will stick with phpbb2 because I only have a few mods but I love them and I can't live without them. They are almost all for admin and security.

they do include a theme like the default with phpbb2, I like that one much better

Actually I am one of those few people that really doesn't care much what it looks like. I usually use the default theme as it makes dong mods easier
![]() But I have quite a few security and administration mods that I really need and I can't lose that functionality.

As I understand it phpBB3 has some of the features in it that people loved and used to have to add mods for. Of course I won't just how many new features that I have mods for are included by default with phpBB3 until I install it.
I wish there was a test forum someplace where I could log in as admin so I could see the new admin interface and then I could see what options it has now. Then I would know what I would be losing and I could check the new mod forums to see if there are any new mods that cover that functionality.

There was a test of the phpBB3 admin interface on the phpBB area 51 site at one point--you can check there to see if it's still available. Otherwise, you can install a test forum on one of your sites. I did that and there are many wonderful new features, although I still need a couple of mods that aren't yet available...
