I can't believe it's only been 3 years. Seems like more than that. Surpass and me, we've had a couple tense moments but I am thankful no one gave up on either side.

Now that I think about it, I do remember why I left my old host. They were totally inflexible. If you didn't like the way something worked there, that was just too damn bad - they didn't care. At Surpass, I have been successful more than once in having a voice in the way things work. I appreciate that they listen to reasonable voices.

I'm just actually leaving my old host now :P. But not because of bad service or anything, but I just wanted to switch to a yearly plan. I was looking around for hosts that offer the similiar features as my old host, but with abit cheaper yearly option.

And found Surpass . So, we shall see how it goes .

I am slowly removing sites from another host I am with. They are nice, the lady who runs the company is lovely. But their support has started to run very slow, they have made silly mistakes (trying to bill me for a .nu domain that has another year yet to run before it needs renewing) and then I lost sites when they failed to help when there were some problems.

It's nice to get the special offers etc here, but so long as you keep up a good support system and really try to help when things go wrong, then I'll stick with surrpass.

I left because there was too much downtime. No big things, but a couple of hours here and there. Really frustrating. Since I paid a one-time fee I felt like I should stay. Their support was really good in the beginning (like a year ago), but lately they started to just close tickets without replying (or when you bumped them because of no response) and that totally pissed me off. I also made the mistake to register my domains at the same place and they let my first one expire without any notice at all. When I discovered that it had expired I sent in a support ticket. They sent me an invoice that I paid the same day (Nov 9th) but the domain is still not working! I bumped the ticket I sent but it was closed *kills* I have sent a new ticket, so I hope they answer!

Sorry for the rant, but I've been wanting to get this out for quite a while. Something good can turn bad really fast :/

I don't know if this is the thread to use for this, but I choose Surpass because of the recommendations I found on the http://board.thefanlistings.org/

The main reason I left my previous host was poor tech support. Their customer issue tracking system was horrible to non-existant. It took them two weeks to fix the time on one of their servers, which was the last straw as that indicated to me their total ineptness.

My host was nothing like this one. I thought the price was right but I sure didn't get what I payed for. My site was down almost 3 or more time a month and for the last 4 months of my service my site could not be accessed at all. I should put their name on blast but I don't know if that allowed. They also had the audacity to up their price and downsize their plans.

I left simply because they were charging me $120aud for 1.2gb of space, get way more then that at surpass for less which is why I convinced my friend to move from the same host to surpass
