Surpass is the 3th host since 1998.
First year or so was our local dialup provider.
They went out of business.
Then to a shared>shared on The Planet in Dallas TX
After a few years got an email on Tuesday they were having trouble.
On Friday, got a email from the upstream, that everyone was to have their stuff of the server by the next Friday. The owner had not paid any bills and skipped with all monies.

So I spent Friday to Wed digging the internet and settled on Surpass
That was Wed 21 Apr 2004 at about 8pm.

That move was 2 accounts, have added 3 more, and a business brainstorm last week that will add another one [when I get the time to work it up].

Thanks Surpass for a hassle free 3 years with 99++ uptime.

Also for Surmunity, it is great for what little socializing I have beyond my job.

My last host was Pair Networks. They have excellent service, wonderful numbers for uptime, and very reliable all around. One reason I left was they were expensive, but that was not the ultimate reason. They charge you for each subdomain you wish to create as well as multiple domains... at least they used to. Now that I found Surpass, I have been referring everyone here. Heck, I just referred one business owner here for a dual server. Does that say anything for what I think of Surpass? I hope so!

I [SPAM][SPAM] left my [SPAM][SPAM][SPAM] previous host [SPAM] due[SPAM][SPAM] to support [SPAM][SPAM][SPAM] and email issues [SPAM]

[SPAM][SPAM][SPAM][SPAM][SPAM] it was [SPAM] very [SPAM] annoying[SPAM][SPAM]

Plus, this place is way better!!! I was worried about the swapping of hosts, but so far it has gone smooth. I set up my main domain, I set up my kids web site as a test customer file and then I set up my first customers web site and email. I can not wait for them to call to tell me email is down in the am, they are going to be grateful we have moved. Over 3500 spams got thru on them in the past two weeks. They wer ehit even more than I was, only 1 spam got through once I switched, it had a 3.1 spamassasion rating.

I was only with my previous hosts for about 2 weeks, and during that 2 weeks I was lucky to access my cPanel maybe 4 times, numerous support tickets got me nowhere as they were just left unanswered, someone got me onto Surpass and their support has been incredible

The reason I left my host was because they were seriously unreliable, 99.9% uptime? Oh, please, it was more like 99.9% Downtime. They used to reply to my tickets in 5 hours but now even when I put my ticket as Priority-High, they would answer it in 3-4 days. Some of my tickets were closed and all they told me was that they "attempt" to solve it. The problem just comes back every other day and sometimes it doesn't load for days. Their forum doesn't work, so it's impossible for me to ask for help. I had e-mail the founder of the company, and she was pretty nice and helped me out, but after a couple times of e-mailing her, she completely ignored me. I tried calling but nobody picks up the phone so I have to leave messages. There are always something wrong with public_html directory, they told me someone with access to my Cpanel deleted it, but I'm the only person with access and I just go there to check on how much space/bandwidth I've used, so there are no ways that I could have deleted it. I am a fanlisting-addict. I looked through people's domains and most of the website's that inspired me were hosted by Surpass. I am happy, I made a decision to leave my previous host. I hope my hosting experience with Surpass will make me stay with them for a long time.

The host I had before that had sever down times and server issues but worse than that was that if a customer posted about it in the publicly viewable support forum they deleted those negative posts. This gave the impression to any non-customer viewing those forums that everything was great. Of course customers went to other forums on the internet that the host had no control over and told what was happening there. So I left because if my negative posts were being removed who elses were being removed too?

So far I have come to see with Surpass that if you have a problem they answer it right away. And they do leave negative posts in their forums so what you see is what you get. If anyone looks at the negative posts that are here it is plain to see that it is usually the customers fault. I tend to find that negative posts in a forum actually make the company look better, most of the time.
I wonder if we had the same host ?
