My previous host was hasweb.com. They had awesome support and service and servers were always up and running with no issues.

The ONLY reason I moved here is because surpasshosting is 8 dollars cheaper than my past hosting plan and gives me more space, bandwidth and all that good stuff for a lower price.

I also moved here during a promotion so that helps i guess!

I left for different reasons as well.

My previous host (CirtexHosting) was good to me, very good to me. I paid great prices too. But recently one of their servers had a lot of trouble and they rolled back the "clock" on the data as far back as October 2007.

I didn't like the thought of a company that didn't keep weekly backups of their servers, not to mention roll back the clock that far without notifying any of the hostees.

So I moved back to my old and first host, Surpass! I've been hosted here briefly for a year and moved to Cirtex when I thought I had a better deal there.

Basically. I'm here for peace of mind. I love you guys.

I left because my previous host dissapeared overnight with over $200 remaining balance for my account (paid up front )
And all my sites went with the server.
Only found out after his "unlimited bandwidth" was acually making him go seriously into debt.
Anyways thank god for surpass, they have been alright

Coming from bluehost

I am still partially running on bluehost. Their service is okay, but performance has gone down the drain. Most important factor was wordpress mu support for me. There are a couple of others who'll support it but most of them are limited in other features.

I haven't had a previous host to leave.

Came here in 2004 & love the service & community.

Still going strong.

I left my previous host because they suffered a fatal DDOS attack... it wiped their server and my entire website was lost forever. But even worse, by a remarkable coincidence (or possibly because I visited my own infected website) I suffered a hard disk failure on the same night, which wiped my only backup. It was heartbreaking.

So after learning my lesson not to choose s cheap dodgy host, I moved here to Surpass, and providing their high standards stay the same as they have done since I joined a couple of years ago, I'm never ever moving.

I actually keep 2 back ups due to this type of problem.

Same here now; never making that mistake again!

Do Surpass do their own backups by any chance? How old are they and where are they stored? I know it's better to rely on your own backups but it would be fascinating to know what their procedure is...

My previous hosts were all free. Then my last free host was very rude and impatient and I felt that I should move. You know, she was very unhappy when I moved. :P Surpass is my first paid, professional host. I was searching for hosts and most sites were costly and out of my reach. Then you guys had the $12 for a yr sale and so I bought it. Then in feb I bought your valentine's promo. I shall see how Surpass goes.
