Wink Surpass is number one

Even with the recent issues most of us have been having, I still regard Surpass as the best host there is.

Firstly, I'm from Australia and while we have our fair share of hosts over here (which do serve a purpose as hosting sites with Australian hosts quite obviously results in faster sites because traffic is local), most of them are incredibly expensive because bandwidth inside Australia is much more expensive than the cost of US to Australia bandwidth is (that is a result of a monopoly backhaul supplier in this country, don't get me started).

I've had a dedicated server with Surpass for 3 years. I started off with a P4 but that soon wasn't enough so I upgraded to a Core 2 Duo and the machine has been fantastic. Other than the events of the last 24 hours, there has rarely been any problems with connectivity or server availability.

On the odd occasion something has come up, the response from Surpass has been fast and accurate - the people there really do know what they're doing. On a couple of occasions they have even beat me to noticing and fixing an issue! They do a fantastic job and probably aren't commended for that as much as they should be.

The last 24 hours just prove how reliable they really are. I know some people are frustrated about what has happened, but having 40% of your servers go offline at one time, is not something to be taken lightly. There would have been a lot of work involved to get everything back online, only then to have it happen all over again. Considering the circumstances, everything was handled very well in my opinion.

I know some people may still be having issues at the moment, but just let them know about it and it will be looked in to.

Well done to everyone at Surpass - keep up the great work.

Strangely enough, I'll be living in Orlando hopefully by the end of the year (provided US Immigration are nice to me) as I'm marrying an American girl. I'll probably have to drop in one day and say hello :P
