Nice honeymoon, bad marriage
We had a nice honeymoon with surpass however when things got serious things got complicated.
I had my honeymoon on reseller package and published a site that generated even more traffic than i expected. I have been warned by one of the admins regarding the amount of traffic on my website and the load it is generating. He advised me that its will be the right moment for me to go for a dedicated solution. Right after i decided to order a dedicated server. If you want to buy a dedicated server and go all the way to the end of the selection they have 2 options. login for old customers and a new form. what would you think if you were already a reseller pack owner? of course you try to login with your existing password isnt it? bzzt wrong answer. They only have one warning there that says "your password is wrong". you reset your password and try again. no. same warning again. they dont tell you on that page "this is a login only for old dedicated server owners, reseller accounts have to open a new account". no, they make you lose time by trying in diffrent browsers, trying to send tickets etc. I did open my new dedicated account, chose my server, made an addition to it etc. i got my ssh pass and all. then.. while i was expecting them to move me to the dedicated they suspended my reseller account. the very same night. so imagine i am expecting to move to my new server and happy that thing are progressing and.. boom. they close my database and my site looks like mess now. I sent messages to open tickets but they are on sales so they were off working hours. I replied abuse department but they were also out of office hours. i opened a new ticket and kindly asked them to unsuspend my account and reminded them that "i have already ordered the move to a bigger one". i just asked for some understanding that would really be appreciated. it was denied. So now i have half of my main page online and rest of my pages show db errors. I wonder do they ever think what this would do to my google index or for how many days i will have non related db ads on my adsense ads. I do not think they do. If they cared they would not let this happen. You do not need support service when everything is fine and all you need is just a little tweak. You need them when it matters for you. They asked me to buy a dedicated. I ordered right after they asked and they have punished me right before i moved. So our honeymoon is over. "We moved in together" now. Which started awful. |

Thank you for bringing all of this to our attention. I have had one of our developers add a notice to that login page now so that should be much clearer now.
https://decc.surpasshosting.com/purchase/login/ As far as your other issues. Could you please provide me with one of your tickets to I can check them all and see what's going on?

I actually had the opposite problem when I went from my dedicated server to my reseller package. It said "existing customers login, or create a new account" I tried quite a few times before realizing that this was for client.surpasshosting.com not decc.surpasshosting.com and I had to make a new account.
To be honest, I like the DECC much better than the client area. Laid out much better and the invoices are much easier to understand. Just my two cents. |
