Using Mint Web Stats
Let’s get this out of the way, Mint costs $30. It isn’t free, but the information it can give you about your site visitors is very priceless! Here we’ll show you how to install Mint and get your site stats really in check. 1) Create an account and order the license at http://haveamint.com The Mint website has invaluable information and plugins for your Mint, so check it often. 2) Download the current version of Mint and unzip the contents. ![]() 3) Upload the contents of the folder mint into /public_html/mint ![]() 4) Go to http://yoursite.com/cpanel to create a database. ![]() 5) Create a database, for example, called mint. Create a user called minty. Then add minty to the database at the bottom of the screen. ![]() 6) Go back to your FTP program and edit db.php. Here you will fill in username_mint, username_minty and the password you made for username_minty. ![]() 7) After saving the file, simply open your web browser and go to http://yoursite.com/mint and you’ll see the installation screen. Accept the agreement, enter your key (found in your account center at http://haveamint.com) and fill in details.
