Wink [All] How to Create Custom Nameservers!

If this question has ever flown through your mind, well, the answer to it is YES! Any package and anyone are able to create their own custom nameservers.

First thing's first, you will need to find out the IP address of your current nameservers that was given to your within the Welcome Email. You can do you this by "pinging" them from your home computer.

Click on the Start menu (Windows) and then Run.

Type CMD in the field and hit run. A "command" window will pop-up.

You will see your computer's information, right after it type the word ping and the nameserver right after it, then click enter. Instantly, the nameservers IP address will show up.

Copy the IP address and go to your registrar where your domain-name is hosted. Contact them and have them edit the nameservers so that your new custom ones point to the IP address. Once that is complete, submit a ticket within our helpdesk (http://desk.surpasshosting.com) requesting for your custom nameservers to be setup on the hosting servers end. We will then setup your account to use your custom nameservers.

Custom Nameserver => IP address of Old Nameserver
Custom Nameserver => IP address of Old Nameserver
