PNG Images not showing
For some reason, when I directly link to PNG images, they won't show. I don't know why.
Here's an example: http://nacho.misrpg.cl/jd.png (Won't show) http://nacho.misrpg.cl/jd.gif (Same image, but in gif, shows normally) Any clue as to what might be wrong? |

Now that is really screwey... when I do a save as on the "h ttp://nacho.misrpg.cl/jd.png"
link I get a PNG image that looks just like the GIF image but if I try to upload it here as an attachment it comes up blank. I had no problem viewing it with ACDC or Irfanview. Snakeman |

I could view it with ACDC and Irfanview. However, when I opened it with Photoshop and PSP it was just a blank canvas. So I tried a tool I once heard about called "TweakPNG" and it showed every block except the header as having critical errors.
I suspect the problem is the way the file was created. Probably some type of corruption was introduced. I had no problems converting the GIF file to a PNG file. This file had none of these problems. I guess this is the solution; delete the problem file and recreate it from the GIF file. In the interest of full disclosure; I have no knowledge of the inner structure of PNG files, tweakpng is just a tool I heard about. And when I opened the file with it, I see 'critical errors' all over the place. I didn't see these errors with any other PNG file I tried. |

i did save as for the .png and got blank canvas...
i was using FireFox...and same happens in IE... i think it may have to do with how you saved it... try opening it up again and saving again... did you save it via Photoshop or get it from somewhere else? |
