Also, I have a question in regards to the DNS prerequisite for the free copy... I currently use a third party DNS for my main website that WHMCS would be running off of, is that going to cause an issue, despite the fact that the third party has the IP's and whatnot being used?
AAAAnd, will I be able to go ahead and get the free whmcs to override my paid license? Is it just a matter of receiving a new license key, or would I have to do something entirely different AND will I still be able to use my own personal whmcs client account to receive updated downloads as well as support through whmcs? Just wondering how easy it would be going from a paid license, to the free sh license. |

Cool...
I got mine, but I think they have an issue with it because it doesn't generate an invoice, so you can't reissue the license if you want to install it on a sub-domain... But I don't really have to... If anyone is able to setup the e-mail piping, can someone post how they got it to work, because I can't seem to get it to work for me... |

hmm...
the problem I am having is that my domain is saying its not on surpasses system, since I use my own pdns as ns1. and ns2. I dont know if this is causing problems, but I have used it this way for years... now more and more surpass is making themselves more attractive to stay with. MJ |

I am having the same problem and also concluded it had to do with custom name servers. I've PM'd Kayla about it and I'm sure she'll get this fixed or provide us with a workaround...

or a ping and if the ping returns an address in range then authorize, if not then it should send them back to surpass to purchase an account.. next thing surpass needs is its own search engine or link directory of all the sites hosted on it. Hmm. Then our theory was wrong. Maybe all the IP ranges aren't entered yet. Kayla the Great will surely fix this soon.
![]() EDIT: No, I don't have a dedicated IP, which would definitely have made sense...

regular setup for me as well..
if might be being setup via a mysql db or something and having to set things up or programming all of the servers... well at the moment I am on a temp license for 15 days so I am good for now... but I just want to be able to change my license over soon. MJ |
