How to import existing accounts from the server?

OK, I've installed and set up WHM CS, using the SUrpass license key. It seems to work fine (haven't set up everything yet but will get there). Now I'd like to import the 55 accounts from the server, and assign them to clients and plans. I used to do all this manually, and WHM CS seems to be doing a lot better job of it then I ever did :-) So, can anyone help me get those accounts imported so I can process them in WHM CS?

Thanks in advance!

I think there is an import feature in WHMCS somewhere, it's in the WHMCS manual I think (admin panel >> help >> manual).

Thanks. I found that already, but I was hoping there was some kind of easier import script or trick available somewhere.

For reference, here's what the WHM CS manual has to say about importing data into your WHM CS:

Quote:
To manually import your clients and their hosting accounts, you should use the following steps.

1. Go to Clients > Add New Client
2. Fill out the clients details - the minimum required fields are First & Last Name, Email Address & Password
3. Click Add Client

Once the client has been added, you can proceed to add their hosting accounts. You do this as follows:

1. After adding the client, you will be shown the clients summary page for the client you just added
2. From here, click the "Add New Order" link in the Quick Links section of the page
3. Choose the hosting package the user has with you and click Continue
4. Enter the users domain. If the domain is registered with you, you should choose the transfer domain option even though you will not be transfering it today. Alternatively, choose the use own domain option if the user manages their domain.
5. On the next step, choose the billing cycle, any addons the user has, configurable options, etc...
6. Once configured, click the Update Order button to see the total value of the order
7. Click the Complete Order button once you are happy with all the selected options
8. You will now been shown the order screen and it will be set as Pending. Proceed to mark the order as active without attempting to automatically create the account.
9. Now as the final step, you must go into the products and/or domains page and set the correct payment method and next due date
10. To do this, from the order screen, click on the link in the Type column of the products ordered - this will take you straight to their details screen
11. From here, you can choose the payment method, enter the next due payment date (and for hosting accounts set the correct server and enter the username/password for the account to allow suspensions/terminations to occur)

You have now finished adding your client. By following the steps above, your client will now be invoiced prior to the next due date for the items in their account.

The problem with the "import" script is that it requires that you've put in your package names.
It does not import the package details. And if you have multiple servers with multiple accounts, you're going to type a LOT of package names in. And then, you can import the accounts, but you won't have any of the details (resources assigned, etc.). I have asked for this, but the discussion with Matt gets circular quite quickly...

Thanks for the import script! It worked fine, but I had created new clients already, so I had to reassign the accounts to the existing clients. At least this sped up the process of getting everyone on board!
